Spiders in the bed

You have just come home from work, exhausted, and after taking supper, you don’t want to waste a lot of time – straight to Bed. But alas, a spider is in your bedroom, and now that changes everything as you cannot sleep in peace, especially if you have a phobia about them.

While some spiders can be dangerous and others are harmless, you don’t want to make changes. Here are four ways in which you can get rid of them.

1. Use Essential Oils

You can use essential oils like peppermint to ward off the spiders. All you need to do is to mix few drops with water and sprinkle the mixture around the room. Spider hate smell, and hence peppermint oil will make them vacate the room.

2. Regularly Clean your Room

Spiders will likely invade your Bed if the bedroom is dirty, crowded, and disorganized. They like putting a web in corners or crowded places. Keeping your room clean at all times will keep spiders at bay. It is also inadvisable to leave trash inside your house for a prolonged time. Keep your compound clean since a dirty compound can attract spiders which can somewhat find their way to the bedroom.

3. Vacuum the Web

Spider web and eggs can cause the spider to continue to breed. To avoid this, you should vacuum the spider eggs and web in your room. The vacuuming breaks the spider’s life cycle, thus ensures the breeding does not happen in your room. As you do this, ensure that the content does not spill over inside your room. Instead, it would help if you emptied the vacuum box outside the house.

4. Use Vinegar

Mix vinegar with water and spray it in your house. Vinegar is an insect repellant and will therefore repel the spiders away. As you do this, be careful not to spray on your furniture to avoid tarnishing them.
